DRAWINGS: 2014

Remember what I said last time about not drawing for 4 years? No? Okay. Well... You see the 2 drawings at the top? (lol, of course you do) Those are the first two drawings I did last year. I know... The shading is HORRIBLE! What was I doing? But that was before. I actually did those two because I was bored. My sister was so happy because I drew Caspar Lee (the guy at the top right) so I asked myself  "Why not draw again?"

Angelina Jolie 2013

I decided to draw Angelina Jolie next because of her BEAU-TI-FUL features! Don't remind me, I already  know that I gave her the manliest neck. :P This is where I really started drawing again. It felt good using the pencil again.

Fast forward to 2014! The bottom two drawings at the first picture was the result of 8 months of drawing. So yea.. I draw A LOT.
Shower Series by Manjari Sharma
Got this reference picture from the Shower Series of Manjari Sharma. I got mad because right after I took this picture the drawing got wet! Coincidence?

Meet baby girl chimp, Nyanga! Thanks to Allison Leach! These are actually just a few of my graphite drawings. I'm learning photography so that I can use pictures as my reference picture so that I can start selling my own works.

I'm looking forward to painting again. Using a brush than a pencil is much relaxing and calming. The thing I like about paintings is that it lasts longer.

Just a quote to end this article.

How it all started

I never knew that I know how to draw until I was invited last grade 5 to join this workshop. On our first few days, we started doing techniques on how to shade and other stuffs. After every practice or drawing our teachers (with our help), rank our drawings. First place gets nothing. OH WELL... My drawings are always at the top 3 BUT! never go in first place because I don't follow the instructions. Well.... I did won once or twice because I followed the instructions. YAY! They tell me that I'm always one step, two steps or whatever steps advanced than them.

My parents told me that I'm a natural artist. I don't need lessons to know how to draw. Maybe tips will help me improve more but it's like I already know what to do.

Our last project was to paint anything. I decided to paint a landscape since landscapes are beautiful to paint and look at. Well.. for me. My teacher thought that I asked help from someone.. my parents also thought about it.

I was 10 years old when I did this.

I actually won for the best acrylic artist of the year. I actually thought that I was going to continue painting after the workshop. I stopped drawing for 4 years because of other activities. Activities I never liked. The stuffs that I was forced to do because of people telling me that it's better for me. Let's just say that I stopped drawing because of the comments because of that I never showed the kind of happiness like I do when I draw.

This year I started drawing again. I'll be showing you the pictures of my
drawings on my next post. Au revoir!!
